Who is responsible?
Noah Sheriff, based in Coventry, UK, is responsible for the personal information collected through this portfolio and its enquiry form. For privacy questions, email noah.sheriff@outlook.com.
This notice covers browsing and initial enquiries on noahsheriff.com. If a project or repair requires access to additional personal information, the handling of that information should be agreed before access is provided.
What is collected and why?
When you get in touch
The contact form asks for your name, email address, service and message. You can optionally provide a phone number, company, timing, budget, device model, postcode and how you found the site. Your chosen language is included so a reply can take it into account. These details help assess and follow up on your request. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.
When you ask about work for yourself, this supports steps towards a possible contract. Other professional enquiries are handled on the basis of a legitimate interest in answering relevant correspondence and running the business.
When you browse
The hosting service processes technical request information needed to deliver and protect the site, which can include an IP address, requested URL, browser information and time of access. The contact form also uses a short-lived, hashed IP-based record to limit repeated submissions. This serves the legitimate interest of preventing abuse and keeping the site available.
The portfolio does not include analytics tags, advertising pixels or embedded social feeds. See the cookie policy for browser storage and preference controls.
Please do not send passwords, payment card details, confidential source code or sensitive personal records in the enquiry form. An initial repair enquiry only needs the device model and a description of the fault.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction of its use or a portable copy. These rights have conditions and exceptions.
Your right to object
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email noah.sheriff@outlook.com and explain the processing you are concerned about.
If information is processed with your consent, you can withdraw that consent. Withdrawal does not change the lawfulness of earlier processing. The website does not use automated profiling to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
You can raise a concern with Noah or complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). You do not have to contact Noah first to complain to the ICO.
Other websites and updates
Social profile links and external project links take you to other websites, whose privacy arrangements apply there. This notice may change when the site or its services change; the date above shows the latest update.
